Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has selected Juniper Networks Inc. to deploy PTX5000 series packet transport routers to expand its fixed and mobile Internet network.

The new network aims at delivering ultra-high speed internet access to the third and fourth generations as well as fixed subscribers all over the Middle East.

Moreover, the project involves Juniper’s SDN-ready MX2020 3D Universal Edge router, which represents the highest capacity single-chassis edge router in the industry.

This expanding step will enable STC to meet their customers’ growing expectation for up-to-date applications and services, said Nasser Al Nasser, senior vice president for technology and operations at Saudi Telecom Company.

Adrian Pickering, vice president, Middle East and Africa at Juniper Networks, announced that Juniper is committed to supporting STC so as to keep developing its business by creating unprecedented networks dealing with the ever-increasing internet traffic without sacrificing the service experience.
